British fashion model and granddaughter of former English Heritage chairman Sir Jocelyn Stevens, the former publisher of Queen magazine, Cara Delevingne was recently spotted wearing Paige jeans, which for all you curious fashionistas, can be purchased in Ireland at SAMUI Fashions Cork.

Although relatively new to the world of fashion, Delevingne, who was winner of the Model Of The Year 2012 at the British Fashion Awards, is the latest model to be taking over the fashion scene, constantly spotted on magazine covers, online publications, high end campaigns and cat walks! In fact the 20 year old model seems to have been racking up more catwalk appearances than most in recent weeks, including her latest in Milan this week, and it’s no wonder as we here at SAMUI think she rocks the Paige Denim look!

Parisian Purchasing for Samui’s Autumn Winter 2013 Collection

Well it's that time of year again and doesn’t it just creep up on you!! I feel like we just said goodbye to winter woollies (well we did as Samui is now awash with spring summer favourites Carven, Etoile Isabel Marant, Helmut Lang and many more new collections such as AG Jeans and Drome) yet here I find myself on freezing cold January morning en route to snowy Paris to buy Autumn/Winter 13 collections! But hey that's how it goes in this crazy fashion world I inhabit and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

After a frantic morning where our flight was brought forward by an hour due to snowy weather conditions, we landed safe and sound in Paris, where our first stop was Helmut Lang to view their pre collection offering, which did not disappoint!! They were of course true to their aesthetic of black androgyny but with divine injections of petrol blue and dreamy chalk colours. It was hard to resist the graphite leather leggings and waistcoats trimmed with leather and of course their knitwear is simply exquisite.

After a short stop off at our favourite haunt on Rue Sainte Honore Le Coupe Dor for sustenance (people watching not food!!) we jetted off to view Pre Carven, where we were delighted by Libby who showed us the pieces we 'just had to have' no seriously it was really beautiful, lots of soft shades and print print print…so we just had to buy buy buy!!!

That evening we are sitting in a true French traditional stop off Cafe de Flore, eating French onion soup (of course!) facing French model Ines De La Fressange who is truly beautiful and making me wonder if I should have chosen salad niscoise over cheesy soup!! It's a hard life but after a long but fabulous day it’s time for bed, as tomorrow is along day…. Bon nuit mon amie
